Well, I've been thinking about what to do with this blog.
We weren't doing a ship this winter and it was, to be honest, a quiet winter. I worked on editing my first book and Larrance worked on his composing. We got a new cat so we spent quite a bit of time with her.
We also cooked at home, watched a ton of t.v. that we missed while we lived on a ship or entertained people all summer long. It's been lovely.
So, what to do with this blog?
I'm going to reinvent it! Isn't that very green of me? I'm going to use this blog as a space to tell you about what we're doing to get ready for our upcoming 11th season and to report on shows. I might put up the suggestion of the night or tell you about our favorite improvised musical. The posts will probably be shorter but, I hope, more frequent.
I think I'll get started.
As Spring approaches, some days it's here and others not so much, we're gearing up for the season. This is complicated by a few other projects. I'm directing The Real Inspector Hound by Tom Stoppard for the Orono Community Theater. It's been wonderful to return to directing but the tech comes right in the middle of getting ready to open ImprovAcadia.
Another exciting project is that we bought a Summer Vacation Rental last September.
We've been working on getting it ready all winter. I've been sewing curtains, we're replacing all the linens and we're giving the whole thing a face lift. The cabin was stuffed with like 300 knick knacks. They were everywhere - lining every window sill, every ledge, all the walls.....it took us 3 hours to remove everything. The cabin is called Tall Pines and this will be our first summer of rentals. You can see it here: https://www.facebook.com/tallpinescabin1?ref=hl
In the coming weeks we have lots to do, I'll try to post a few times to let you know what's happening.
Hope to see you this Summer!
